SUMMARY:Workshop: Mandolin Deep Dive I & II
DESCRIPTION:Mandolin Deep Dive 1 (1pm-2:50 pm) \nThis first class of 2 is suitable for all ability levels. We will start by dropping into a more somatic approach to learning the mandolin. There are thousands of books and classes out there that can show you how to play chords and tunes. But the most important part is often overlooked: how do you feel when you play? I will cover some important tricks and tips that will get you more connected to your instrument so that you can practice and perform any music with more efficiency\, focus and relaxed technique!  \nMandolin Deep Dive 2 (3pm-4:50) \nIn part two\, we will build on our exploration into embodied musicianship and add in some deeper musical concepts. This class is tailored for intermediates but beginners will benefit! We will sharpen our focus on rhythms and improvisation. I will cover practices of deeper listening and its importance in playing well with others. Then we’ll get into what it really takes to develop an inspiring practice regimen. We’ll get real about identifying the skills that need the most attention for each participant and help you smooth out the rough spots! \n$40 for 1 class\, $75 for both  \n***Payment can be made the day of the event via Venmo or Cash.
