I have had my head in the books for the last several months working on 3 projects: Songs for a new album with an old school soul vibe, gigging with Irish singer Colleen Raney and my latest obsession, Brazilian choro music with my new trio The Brazillionaires. THE REMEDY SESSIONS (2009) is Zak's latest solo CD. After playing on dozens of other people's records in the last few years, Zak has put together a collection of 10 demo tracks and out takes ranging from instrumentals with his modern string band 'The Lizzies'. to sparse n' spooky country ballads to previously unreleased tracks from a project produced by the late great fiddler Johnny Cunningham.
